Make yourself comfortable. Bring a friend, a close friend would be nice - fires can be very romantic. Watch the fire - talk with your companion - snuggle if appropriate. Relax. Drink a favorite beverage or two. Watch the wood as it changes from solid timber to liquid flames & smoke and becomes glowing embers & ash.
Flame and smoke - embers and ash; what else is part of the fire? Are there beings in there? Creatures of the fire, are they dancing in there? Dragons and  tigers - fairies and aliens - creatures too ephemeral to be seen by the normal eye may be there. Look closely. Are there wolves, warthogs, and peering eyes, existing for fractions of seconds in the flickering flames? Talk to your companion.
