Pentakals are photographed in much the same way that regular Kaleidographs are. The difference is that a triangular slice is taken from the original photo to form the Pentakal instead of using the entire photo like in Kaleidographs.This 36degree right triangle is mirror-imaged then copied and rotated to construct the finished PentaKal.
